Should we believe CBI or Judges?

I was perplexed with the time and energy and naturally the national resources being unnecessarily wasted for the so called detoxification of education system by the Great Arjuna of this government. But the way CBI has gone ahead in recent past is just shocking. It acquitted Mayawati of her involvement in Taj corridor case. It brought Advani again in the case related to Ayodhya. We don’t hear anything about the fodder scam of Laloo anymore. Is CBI not moving in fast gear to adapt according to the political colour of the ruling party and its interest?

But more surprises were there in my store. Lallu Yadav appointed an ex-Supreme Court to find out the truth of the Godhra mishap in Gujarat. The Honourable Judge has done a real fast work and come out with a report. The Judge, (I feel ashamed to use his name) has now disclosed the interim findings of his inquiry into the burning of the train at Godhra. This report is being used to lure the minority in campaigning of the ssembly election. What was the great hurry to do that? Has it not done grave harm to the cause of truth? Was the Judge trying to pay back to the master who appointed him his gratitude? As one columnist has rightly written-”Playing politics with truth can be as insidious as the subversion by lies. Unwittingly perhaps, Banerjee has ensured that truth will remain hostage to politics.”

Where does the Aam Adami go to know the truth?
