Karnataka’s Lesson For Rest of India

With their clear preference for the two national political parties, Karnataka has shown the way. The rest of the country must emulate it, if it wishes to keep the country integrated. The country must not allow the national political parties to live under the excuse of multi-partied alliance as reason for indecisiveness and inaction.
Karnataka has shown Devghoda (God’s horse) his place. However, he may be down, but he is not dead. As reported, the old man still wishes to play the role of villain and is trying his best to allure some influential members of the Congress party to plead for an alliance with his party, JD (S) that can form the government. Why can’t the old man retire and let the state live in peace? Perhaps, the best thing for the sane and honest members of JD (S) will be join one of the national parties sooner rather than waiting for the next election.
I wish the message from Karnataka were clear. The people must not be misguided to vote candidates on basis of his caste and community. The candidate must be of proven capability and honestly dedicated. Bangalore has elected younger, better-qualified (lawyers, engineers, doctors, and MBAs) and richer candidates (average assets of the victorious member amount to Rs 14 crore). It is to be seen if they work to improve the city and the state and take it ahead, or add up to their own wealth in the next 5 years. It will depend quite a lot on the leadership of the CM. I wish the CM used the younger people to the best of their qualification and capability.
Let India as whole vanquish the regional parties in favour of the national parties at least for two terms to see if it makes a change in working of this too much liberal democracy. It is necessary to solve some major issues such as naxalism, terrorism, nuclear deals, and fast industrialization and rapid improvement in infrastructure,
