Election 2009: Who Are These Men?

Have you noticed something common in Mulayam, Mayawati, and Lalu? Can you predict where will they end their political marches that they started by dividing the social fabric of the hinterland of divine Ganga?
Each of the great trio of Hindi Belt and its ‘bhagyabidhatas’ (the deciders of its destiny) has a power broker standing all the times on side or at the back. Let me name them. Amar Singh is a unique personality of Indian politics. I don’t know who is more indispensible for the other. Amar Singh perhaps is the smartest middle man of the country and perhaps indispensible for Mulayam. As claimed, Amar Singh brought Mulayam nearer to Man Mohan Singh or perhaps Sonia who were looking for a savior of the government to survive the no confidence vote against its government. Amar Singh has also made Mulayam closer to the film celebrities as well as industrialists. Industrialists have found in Amar Singh someone who can save them when in trouble with government. Film celebrities dance around Amar for getting the backing of a political party to get a party ticket to get into parliament.
Have you seen a smart and well dressed man always behind Mayawati in all the frames? He is Satish Chandra Mishra. As reported, Mishra is the man who mastered the social engineering that brought Brahmins of Uttar Pradesh on the side of Mayawati. Mishra is moving sell around India to sell Mayawati for the top chair of the country. I doubt Mishra’s hold on Brahmins. Are the leaders of the community foolish to agree and prefer this option of Mayawati over that of national parties to be the best for them and the country? Mishra was just the advocate helping Mayawati in her many corruption cases, but now Mishra is perhaps the strongest and nearest, though Mayawati is a character who hardly trusts any one. She could have become the Prime Minister, but she lacks the people in her team that makes a party a national one. She can only be either king maker or the biggest spoiler. Many with lot of money with no past record of the membership of her party are contesting this election. Many may win it too with their money and her following in a community.
As reported, Lalu has also a man who helps him by arranging and managing his finances. He is a minister too in the central cabinet. He is from Haryana but a member of Rajya Shabha from Bihar. He is PC Gupta.
Another common thing with the trio is multiple legal cases of corruption and wealth disporpotionate with the earning. Each one of them must remain powerful at the centre and the forming of its government; otherwise some may go behind the bar for the whole life. And all their political manuevours and manipulations are for keeping them safe and secure.
Unfortunately, the trios have kept the Hindi Belt behind in the race of development and economic growth in comparison with the other states of the country. And the belt will remain so till they remain king makers through the blessings or ignorance of the vote banks.
Can the people of Bihar vote in the favour of the national parties, as that can only be the way out for a better North?
