Sycophancy in Ruling Party

The stories of the embarrassment caused to Congress leaders by Big B’s presence at sea-link function and the dropping of Abhishek from Earth Hour event showcase the ethics and values of the members of the old party.
Is Congress making Amitabh and his family members, untouchable in public because of the history of deteriorated relations with Sonia?
Why can’t an intellectual remain apolitical and be allowed to remain apolitical? Is it over-enthusiasm of the sycophant Congress leaders to please the Congress boss that are behind all these incidents?
Vir Sanghvi has rightly raised a question, why pick on Amitabh. Many must be thinking why I chose to write for Amitabh. I have special reason. Somehow, I find him belonging to my class. And many who hear him or read about him will also find him belonging to their class.
Why is the great political party becoming pygmy? One feels like laughing when Congress men such as Manish Tiwari and Abhishek Singhavi speak against Bachchan. Interestingly, Gandhi family has not done any thing to stop the anti-Bachchan party gestures and statements.
Politics, perhaps, can’t rise beyond being dirty. Otherwise, how can Amar Singh expect Jaya Bachchan to quit Mulayam in his favour?
I wonder why Amitabh continue with the company of a person like Amar Singh. Many keep on talking about various reasons for the relation. Let it be anything. How does it matter?
But sycophancy is perhaps the part and parcel of political ethics. Can a politician not be a good human being?
